My Manila Trip - Part 3 (Day trip to Tagaytay)

this is the entrance to the resort..Ya..I think so..

While we were in Manila, we have the chance to go to Tagaytay..The City of Tagaytay is a third class city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. About 2 1/2 hours journey away from Manila via the coastal road, well, actually, without the traffics I think you could reach there in an hour..Seriously, the distant is somewhat like KK to KB only..ya, more or less.. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations, if you are in Manila and you don't make it there, there's only one thing I could say.."what a waste"....

Tagaytay City provides a good view of the Taal Volcano, where we were actually going to. We were told that Tagaytay is a favourite summer destination because of its cool climate, due to its high altitude, that was why, Jr and I each bought a pair of sweater the day before..Expecting that it would be freezing cold there..Having been there, and witnessed everything for myself, I knew, I had to dedicate an entry about our trip to Tagaytay..And although we only had a day to enjoy Tagaytay, we were equipped with a guide who knew the area well..Mr.Ernie the Taxi driver..He has been really informative and really helpful, he has tried his best to negotiate the best price for us with the resort's operator..Thanks to Mr.Ernie..

We took the coastal road through Imus, Dasmarinas and Cavite. Though this route took longer and has more traffic, there were lots of sights to see along the way, now I know where is the Adventist Union College where I wanted to study last time..Wheew, nice college.. I did sleep on the way to Tagaytay, but I'm sure I've seen most of the sceneries..Spectacular..!!Anyway, the city of Tagaytay itself is nomore than just like Tamparuli,if you have been to Tamparuli la..It's just like a cowboy town, but I wasn't interested with the city, I was there for the Taal Volcano..

Going downhill was fun, it was like going on offroad journey..It wasn't that bad laa..We stopped by at few points while we were still uphill just to enjoy the scenery..the viewpoint gave a really nice view of the lake and the volcano. Our only problem was the fog was high and the sun was really unforgiving..Hey!! It wasn't cold at all, I wanted to take off my clothes, hehehe kidding.. Ya, it wasn't that cold as what we were told, so what..? we took great pictures nevertheless. And that what matters the most..hehe..

Ini la dia si Ernie yg baik hati tu...

When we reached the resort, we were directed to a house just by the lake side, and the view from that house was fantastic..I was amazed by the beauty of God's amazing creation..After ordering our lunch we had another memorable boat ride to Taal Volcano..The best..That's all I can say about the boat ride..

At about 2pm we proceed to the Taal crater, after negotiating the price of the horseback ride..P5000 for four of us..that was RM400..Expensive hah..But the experience was worth it all..The trek up towards the crater was hot, since there was not much of vegetations around..but riding on the horse was too fun and exciting that I forgot about the heat, and facial care for a while..hehehe..tu la sa kana sun burn ni..ishhh..

Oo ya, in case if you are wondering, the Taal volcano island is in a middle of freshwater lake ya, not sea..

That is the Taal Volcano..It has been called the smallest active volcano in the world..What makes it more unique is the fact that the volcano itself has a lake of its own inside its crater..cool

The view on the crater was breathtaking and mesmerizing..We took alot of pics..This was the time when being tired was not an option..I really enjoyed it there..Taal is such a beautiful volcano. I really didn't know that the crater can be that huge..I'm sure that there must be a legend about the crater lake, but when we asked the local people, they simply say 'no'..Probably they don't understand what we were talking..

can you see the island? it is inside the crater..They say, it's "An island within a lake, within an island within a lake within an island within an ocean"..however, it makes sense to me..hehe

We spent almost half an hour there before we went back to the resort..Tired but happy..and there waiting for us was our lovely and the most delicious lunch I probably ever had in my entire life..Okay, I was exaggerating..But, yaaaa..It was delicious..Masarap talaga..

The ride home was serene and peaceful which posed one concern…sleepiness..Sa ja tidak tidur..hehe..

Despite being so tired and obviously lack of sleep, we still went clubbing at Malate..and got another chance to be more intoxicated..Last night sudah kan, so all out laa..

Alright..I have sum up all the highlights of the trip, now I don't have anything to write anymore..Cerita2 yg rated 18sx tu confidential alright..Jan tanya..hehehe

Adios amigos..panat ja sa edit2 gambar..

What a good article to describe the trip to Tagaytay. It has been inspired me to visit Tagaytay in the next day if possible. Thanks guy!
However, can you let me know the package you took when you were in Manila, especially the itinerary and price, and your recommendation as well. Appreciate if you can send me the detail to kevan-2@hotmail.com.

    Thanks.
